Property rental yields up in 2011

Property investor confidence was given a boost this week with a report that rental yields for 2011 were up at an average of 5.4% - and some areas of London achieving over 9%!

The Buy-to-Let market has seen good growth since 2008 as the demand for rented homes has grown. Part of the reason for this growth is the difficulties in obtaining affordable mortgages.

First-time investors are moving into the buy-to-let sector in large numbers in search of a strong yield, this is as a result of increasingly poor returns from more traditional forms of investments (Stock, Bonds, ISA's etc).
